The Public Relations Specialist will help support the delivery of innovative external communications strategies that build and protect the firm’s brand and reputation, position the firm as a leader in the marketplace, ensure consistent messaging, and position Deloitte executives as luminaries whose commentary enhances the Deloitte brand. The successful candidate is a team player, creative thinker, and proactive practitioner who has an execution-oriented mindset.

The PR Specialist will work closely with other specialists, managers and team leadership to help plan and execute external programs across Client & Market Growth (CMG) Industry businesses, and other areas of Deloitte. The PR Specialist will:

  • Assist in developing and executing Deloitte’s comprehensive public relations and communications programs to strategically position Deloitte in the marketplace.
  • Help drive external eminence for Deloitte through proactively pitching stories positioning the firm, senior leadership, and other industry leaders as thought leaders on specific topics.
  • Enhance and maintain relationships with key media contacts to help promote Deloitte’s activities, services, and accomplishments.
  • Employ strong project management skills and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, consistently delivering high quality results
  • Help manage external PR agency resources

Qualifications

  • Communications professional with 1-2 years relevant experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, English, Public Relations, Journalism, or Marketing Communications
  • Ability to interact and communicate across a variety of stakeholder groups (technical subject matter specialists to business owners), with the ability to present complex information in easily understandable format and tailored to audience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook and Word. Knowledgeable in all aspects of Microsoft Office and ancillary programs.
