The ideal candidate would be able to support the Marketing department, which engages in corporate branding, graphic design, and video production. On-location production activities, including remote set and strike, are physically strenuous.

The expectation would be that you’d have specific experience/training in at least one of these areas and willing and able to engage in the others.

Videography

  • Shoot interviews, talking head videos, gather footage for different departments and uses including B-roll, digital/social, case studies, orientation videos.
  • Edit and produce brand-consistent videos to be used on YouTube, social media, or Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Directs, plans, records, and edits videos from project inception to execution on varying deadlines.
  • Oversee video outline and creation, production, directing, planning, shooting, lighting, etc.
  • Manage teammates (graphic designer, script writers, on-set assistance) as needed including helping with assignments and scheduling.
  • Operate, assemble, and disassemble videography, photography, lighting, and audio equipment for shoots and projects.
  • Maintain all video equipment including cleaning, inspecting for damage, sending out for repair as needed, and keeping inventory.
  • Use Synergy’s video equipment or make researched recommendations on new equipment for better quality.
  • Research and obtain music for incorporation with videos.
  • Research and obtain production equipment and software as needed.
  • Research and obtain stock footage as needed.
  • Other special projects, as assigned.

Graphic Design

  • Create and edit PowerPoint presentations and/or templates to be brand-consistent and easy to digest.
  • Create and edit Word documents and/or templates to be brand-consistent and easy to digest.
  • Design and/or adapt and execute graphics and diagrams in Adobe Illustrator and PowerPoint for use in proposals.
  • Research and obtain stock graphics as needed for use in graphics creation.
  • Communicate with proposal leads to determine most clear presentation of a given graphic.
  • Update and post blogs, case studies, etc. to the website using WordPress.
  • Support with social media posts on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Take and edit professional-quality photos (such as professional headshots).
  • Other special projects, as assigned.

Minimum Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in videography, cinematography, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in graphic design, communication design, or a related field.
  • Experience with photography, including photo composition, shooting, and photo and color editing.
  • Proficient in:
    • Adobe Illustrator
    • Adobe Photoshop
    • Audio and visual video editing
    • Digital video editing techniques and systems, including the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop, or comparable applications
  • Knowledgeable in:
    • WordPress
    • HTML, CSS

Key Tasks, Qualifications, and Certifications:

  • Creating proposal and presentation graphics.
  • Cleaning up PowerPoint presentations.
  • Filming and record interviews, talking head videos, B-roll.
  • Editing videos and sound to include transitions, titles, music, graphics.
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Word, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Writing and editing skills: Able to write and edit original and engaging content as a part of a team for the purpose of case studies, scripts, etc.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and in time-sensitive situations.
  • Must be very detail-oriented.
  • Must work well on a team and communicate effectively to other team members.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize and address multiple projects with varying timelines.
  • Stay up-to-date on videography, photography and graphic design trends.
