Responsibilities

Coordinates marketing efforts for softball, swimming/diving and other sports as assigned including developing and implementing comprehensive marketing plans, assisting with advertising campaigns, in-game atmosphere and promotional budgets. Assist with marketing, promotions and game day operations for football and special events. Manage marketing of selected Olympic Sports.

Assist in selected areas of media planning, production, advertising, and coordination of video boards. Assist with oversight of marketing assistants and student interns. Assist with sponsorships and renewal of trade accounts. Coordinate with sales staff to implement contract fulfillment of promotional elements, and assist with identifying new promotional opportunities and inventory, sponsorship opportunities and revenue streams.

Responsible for management of the FSU Kids Club to include the webpage and Social Media for Women’s Basketball. Assist in the operation of Spirit Awards Program and Friday Night Block Party.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years’ experience in marketing, promotions, sales, or ticket sales in collegiate, professional or minor league athletics, or a high school diploma/equivalent and experience in the same equal to six years(Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience to equal six years including two years’ experience as stated above)

Computer skills to include experience with Adobe Creative Suite CS 3.

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.

Soft Money Funded Position

This is a soft money funded position, with renewal based on available funds and the needs of the University.

Schedule

Must be able to work evening and weekend hours as needed.

Criminal Background Check

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
