  • Create high quality, sharable digital content to raise brand awareness
  • Promote all home games and events throughout the week using graphics, official video and photography content
  • Manage the social media and mobile app during both home and away games
 
Responsibilities:
  • Create engaging graphics daily to post on social media and mobile app, and include in promotional emails
  • Produce in-house marketing materials for season tickets, group tickets and promotional theme nights, as well as construct email blasts and press releases
  • Create content to be used for game production on the video scoreboard and video walls.
  • Coordinate with local media outlets to fulfill ad campaigns
  • Develop engaging video content with players, coaches, staff and fans to distribute on multiple online platforms
  • Maintain an organized marketing campaign for each game and event
  • Manage the team’s social media platforms, mobile app and website
  • Assist in the creation of game production scripts
  • Fulfill marketing elements in corporate sponsorship contracts, including on-site photos and videos
  • Develop and grow relationships with current marketing clients and establish new ones
  • Find creative new ways to market the team
  • Coordinate marketing days with the coaching staff and players
  • Ensure team branding is professionally utilized in all in-house and external marketing
  • Meet and exceed marketing goals set by team leadership
  • Represent the Ice Flyers at all home games and select community events to meet marketing and promotional initiatives
  • Help manage marketing interns, along with game day photographers and videographers
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by team leadership
 
Proficiencies:
  • Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, After Effects or Premiere Pro
  • Microsoft Office
  • iMovie
 
Experience with the following:
  • WordPress or a similar website host such as Squarespace.
  • Email Campaigns
  • Digital Ad Campaigns
  • Social Media Platforms
  • Social Media Scheduling programs (Hootsuite)
  • DSLR Knowledge
  • Studio photography
  • Print media & printer relations
 
Qualifications:
  • Highly-motivated, outgoing self-starter with strategic thinking skills
  • Positive attitude and desire to be successful while having fun within a professional and team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of sports, sports marketing and sports social media content are definite assets
  • A high level of professionalism, confidence, enthusiasm and personal accountability
  • Work well in a team environment and ability to collaborate with others
  • Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage and prioritize daily efforts
  • Coachable and eager to learn
  • Reliable transportation is essential
  • Four-year college degree preferred with an undergraduate degree in graphic design, marketing or similar concentration
  • Work experience in graphic design and marketing
