In this role, you will support the creation, execution and deployment of content across multiple channels to support the company’s professional and consumer product lines, including e-mail marketing, blogs, social media, direct mail, tradeshows, and special events, etc. This position is three days in office at headquarters in Shawnee, KS and two days remote.

Primary Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Work with the MarCom to execute annual strategic communications plans and social media content calendars to support goals and drive strategy.
  • Write and develop corporate communication as assigned.
  • Cultivate and create original content to deploy across multiple social channels, including influencer and thought leader content to reach target audiences.
  • Work with advertising agency to develop content to support media plan.
  • Facilitate internal or vendor production of communications materials, digital assets, videos, websites, and other promotional materials.
  • Utilize project management system to manage job timelines and keep project on-schedule.
  • Coordinate and participate in all creative input meetings.
  • Review and proofread all copy for use in communications materials.
  • Review all materials to ensure they are strategically on-target with creative brief.
  • Update project reports, adding new projects and status updates as needed, and meet all deadlines as assigned.
  • Assist Marcom/Corp Comm/Marketing/Product Managers in communication & marketing activities needed to service the sales team, key accounts, or take advantage of seasonal or situational sales opportunities.
  • Travel as needed to provide on-site reporting and social media content develop at key events and trade shows.
  • Provide monthly updates tracking & showcasing social media metrics and engagements.
  • Review market research and make recommendations in applying research findings to drive results.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or related field
  • Experience: 2+ years in marketing, advertising or related field, ad agency and/or social media management experience preferred
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Specialized knowledge or training: Business-to-business marketing experience preferred. Professional turf industry experience is a plus. Other skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Strong written and verbal communication skills essential
