About the team

Are you passionate about building new, immersive experiences to change how people shop for homes and rentals? The Zillow Rich Media Experiences (RMX) team is re-imagining the home tour experience, giving people the feeling of being there from the convenience of their phones or computers. Using groundbreaking technologies, the RMX team works across product, research, engineering, and business to enable people to walk through a home. We believe this technology will be the future of home shopping for Zillow’s 180 million users! 

About the role

The RMX Consumer team builds innovative and delightful solutions for the best shopping experiences for our home shoppers and real estate agents. We are looking for an experienced front-end web developer to help build new media experiences and maintain and iterate our existing product suite. As a senior developer, you will help define architectural direction, craft amazing user experiences, and drive features forward across multiple teams. Our ideal candidate is a technical leader, who specializes in cross-discipline collaboration, and has a passion for delivering value to customers.

You Will Get To:

  • Collaborate across the stack to help define and architect efficient, reliable, and responsive web applications.
  • Work with Product Managers, and UX designers for product feature prioritization, estimation, and planning.
  • Review with peers in the team and cross-team to deliver best-in-class code quality.
  • Own the product services that deliver the critical values to Zillow’s partners.

 

 

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role. 

 

In Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada and New York City the standard base pay range for this role is $149,400.00 – $238,600.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada and New York City and may not be applicable to other locations. 

 

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. 

Who you are

You are a roll-up-the-sleeves and get-it-done engineer with good front-end engineering fundamentals.

  • 6+ years of front-end development experience with React, Redux, and TypeScript, to design, deliver, and maintain responsive web applications.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with a passion for delivering robust and scalable applications for customers.
  • The ability to work in a fast, agile, and flexible environment with frequent change.

Qualifications

  • Expertise with React, Redux, TypeScript, CSS, GraphQL, Three.js, React-Three-Fiber, and Node.js microservices
  • Experience with Gitlab and JIRA
  • Experience with AWS
